As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your responsibilities will include managing access points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment for employees and visitors. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a food and beverage production and distribution environment.
Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the food and beverage industry.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks and identify any unusual activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements

An active Guard Card or license is preferred.
An active Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
