Job summary

Banner Life Insurance Company seeks the Manager, Security Engineering & Technology Enablement to design, engineer, modernize, and elevate enterprise security platforms and technical controls across cloud, identity, endpoint, data, AI, and application security.

You will own the security engineering roadmap, drive modernization, automate workflows, and partner with Security Operations, Governance, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions in a hybrid role based in

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
6+ years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, identity security, infrastructure security, or security leadership.
Experience leading security platform modernization and control implementation in an enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of cloud security, identity security, endpoint security, DLP, email security, network security, application security, API security, and AI/LLM security concepts including MCP.
Ability to translate security strategy and architecture into practical engineering outcomes.
Strong communication and cross‑functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Define and implement the security engineering roadmap aligned to cyber strategy and business growth.
Modernize security platforms, tooling, and integration to reduce fragmentation and debt.
Lead security controls across cloud, identity, network, endpoint, data, and AI environments.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and IT Operations to ensure RUN readiness and observability.
Drive automation, policy‑as‑code, and integration with CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.
