Banner Bank seeks a Principal AI & Cloud Security Engineer to shape secure AI adoption and Azure cloud practices across the organization. This senior IC role sets strategic security direction, aligning development, infrastructure, and security teams to build secure, resilient, and compliant solutions.

You’ll lead enterprise security for AI workloads, guardrails, threat modeling, and secure code practices while mentoring engineering teams and embedding governance into DevSecOps pipelines.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Required). An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, secure SDLC, threat modeling, and Azure cloud security within enterprise environments.
• Experience in banking/financial services environments is preferred.
• Industry security certifications such as CISSP, Azure Security Engineer, GIAC, or similar credentials are preferred.

Mansioni

• Define and lead the enterprise security strategy and architecture for AI-powered systems and Azure cloud environments.
• Establish and govern security controls, guardrails, and runtime protections for AI workflows and tools like Claude, GitHub Copilot, and custom AI agents.
• Lead threat modeling efforts for AI systems and Azure-hosted workloads, mitigating risks from adversarial inputs and cloud vulnerabilities.
• Evaluate AI-generated and cloud-integrated code for security, quality, correctness, and performance; define enterprise secure coding standards.
• Architect and oversee security tooling and monitoring for AI agents and Azure resources at scale (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Sentinel).
• Embed security governance into SDLC and Azure DevSecOps pipelines via Security Posture Management, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and IaC standards.
• Research emerging AI and cloud security threats and translate insights into enterprise security improvements.
• Mentor engineering teams on secure AI adoption, cloud security best practices, and enterprise standards.
