Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a neurosymbolic security platform to defend the Leo Space infrastructure. We seek a Software Development Engineer to join the founding Engineering and R&D team and own features from design to production, delivering auditable, scalable solutions for incident response and threat detection.

You will work on live state tracking, automated triage, and high‑throughput pipelines, collaborating with senior engineers to shape the platform and ensure reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.

Responsibilities

• Own building software features across the platform end to end.
• Clarify requirements, write the design, ship the code, instrument the system, and keep it healthy in production.
• Deliver live state of the world record of devices, custody, and locations; consolidate detections from all Leo site types; automate triage with rapid containment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on platform architecture, review teammates’ code, and operate what you build.
