Job summary

Amazon Leo Space Security is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the founding engineering and R&D team. You will own building software features across the platform end to end, clarifying requirements, writing design docs, shipping code, instrumenting systems, and keeping production healthy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of software development experience in distributed, multi-tiered environments.
• Experience with performance optimization, memory management, and profiling production systems.

Responsibilities

• Own building software features across the platform end to end: clarify requirements, design, ship code, instrument, and maintain production health.
• Develop live state tracking across devices, custody, and access events for triage and containment.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on platform architecture and review teammates’ code.
• Improve latency and throughput of the detection pipeline and automate repetitive tasks.
