Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join the Leo Space Security team as a founding engineer on the Engineering and R&D group. You will own architecture decisions for the platform, design distributed systems, automate security operations, and mentor engineers as the team scales to protect global ground infrastructure.

Qualifications

5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
Experience leading design or architecture of new or existing systems.

Responsibilities

Own architecture decisions across the platform and ensure security, scalability, and operational simplicity.
Design and build distributed systems for telemetry ingestion, real-time correlation, agent execution and observability.
Drive automation to replace manual security operations with software and backtesting infrastructure.
Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and set code quality standards.
Operate and ensure health and reliability of services.
