Job summary

Epic Hosting is seeking a Security Operations Technician to join the SOC team responsible for protecting Epic's SaaS infrastructure for major healthcare clients. You will identify security events, coordinate investigations, and drive long-term process improvements while staying current with emerging threats.

The role requires relocation to the Madison, WI area, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth. Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with enterprise firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, application whitelisting, and data loss prevention.
• Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and system/network auditing or in a security operations center.
• Security certifications such as SANS/GIAC: GSEC; ISC2: SSCP; EC-Council: ECSA; CompTIA: Security+ are a plus.
• PowerShell scripting is helpful.
• Experience with Active Directory and physical security is a plus.
• Familiarity with SIEM, MFA, and ITIL tools.
• Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed).
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
• COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities

• As a member of the Hosting team at Epic you'll be responsible for the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Epic Hosting.
• Follow policies and procedures and escalating when policies or procedures are not followed.
• Escalating potential security incidents and providing relevant information.
• Meeting all security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures.
