Job summary

Strata Decision Technology, LLC is seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to lead and strengthen the security operations function in Chicago. You will oversee threat detection, incident response, monitoring, and vulnerability management while driving automation and risk management.

A hands-on leader, you will develop a team of Security Engineers and align practices with regulatory requirements. You will partner with IT, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Engineering to protect systems,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations or incident response roles.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Hands-on with SIEM/EDR/XDR, threat intel, SOAR and related tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security operations including monitoring, threat detection, triage, investigation and incident response.
• Operate and tune security platforms such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management and threat intelligence tools.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and incident response playbooks aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Automate repeatable tasks via SOAR, scripting, and AI-enhanced processes.
• Mentor a security operations team and collaborate with IT, Infra, DevOps and Engineering.
