Job summary

Strata Decision Technology in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join the Security team. You will help ensure Strata has the right security controls in place and drive continuous improvements to protect client data in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment.

You will manage and maintain the security stack, lead Zero Trust initiatives, deploy SIEM/EDR/XDR/IAM tools, and collaborate across IT, DevOps, and business groups to strengthen protections while enabling safe velocity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of security experience.
• Certifications such as CCIE, CCSE, GIAC, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills – ability to resolve various systems issues across locations.
• Scripting experience; Terraform is a plus.
• Time management and organizational skills are imperative.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of management; may interface with clients.
• Ability to learn quickly and apply learned principles.

Responsibilities

• Expand Zero Trust program through policy refinement and tool optimization.
• Manage identity, access, and secure connectivity controls (MFA, conditional access, privileged access).
• Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to resolve access, policy, and connectivity issues.
• Strengthen enterprise security controls across endpoints, cloud, SaaS, AI, identity, network, and data protection.
