Capital One is seeking a Principal Coordinator, Security Operations Specialist to join the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The role involves 24/7 monitoring of threats, incident response, and coordination of communications across security teams.

The position may include evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts, with hours typically 2:00 PM–10:00 PM Central. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in security-related fields and 1 year of Microsoft Office or Google Suite experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in security-related fields (law enforcement, military, corporate security, risk, emergency management, or customer service).
• At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Intake of critical response communications.
• Respond to equipment service requests and information about security systems.
• Monitor alarms and cameras to identify and resolve threats.
• Synthesize large information sets quickly.
• Create documented records of security incidents.
• Coordinate routine and critical incident communications.
• Understand and apply security tools and procedures.
• Implement access control procedures.
• Assist with physical security validations for partners and vendors.
• Support engagement with first responders and law enforcement.
• Escalate issues to supervisors when appropriate.
