Job summary

Empower Retirement is seeking a Director of Security Operations & Engineering to lead security monitoring, incident response, and engineering across enterprise systems. You will partner with stakeholders to balance security with business needs and drive policy, process, and technology improvements.

The role requires directing multiple teams, ensuring effective threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and security controls.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in information technology security operations, engineering, or related disciplines.
• 6 to 8 years of related management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple security teams or managers.
• Experience with security operations, monitoring, incident response, and system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of multiple security operations and engineering teams.
• Oversee monitoring, incident response, and security event processes.
• Direct analysis of security logs to identify threats and incidents.
• Oversee security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and WAF.
• Develop operational metrics and report findings to senior leadership.
• Lead enterprise information security initiatives and audits.
