Job summary

Constellation seeks a SOC Operator in Baltimore, MD to support its CSOC, protecting critical infrastructure, assets, and personnel. You will monitor physical security systems, respond to alarms and incidents, coordinate emergency response, and maintain accurate security documentation.

This on-site role operates on a 24/7 schedule with a contract length through June 2027 and potential extension or transition to hire.

Qualifications

Constellation is seeking a SOC Operator to support its Security Operations Center (CSOC), protecting critical infrastructure, assets, and personnel. The SOC Operator will monitor physical security systems, respond to alarms and incidents, coordinate emergency response, and maintain accurate security documentation.

SOC Operator Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess, and remediate intrusion detection alarms and security events.
• Answer, prioritize, and respond to emergency and routine security incident calls.
• Dispatch law enforcement and first responders when required.
• Manage site entry/exit and intrusion-system disarm events.
• Prepare security incident reports, notifications, and shift activity logs.
• Perform system checks, video tours, and forensic reviews of video and access-control records.
• Create service requests for security-system repairs and validate corrective maintenance.
• Follow CSOC policies, regulatory procedures, and compliance requirements.

SOC Operator Qualifications

Critical Qualifications

• AA degree, or High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of Security Systems or IT experience.
• Ability to remain effective under high-stress conditions and rapidly respond to life-safety and security incidents.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with relevant CSOC technologies, including CCure 9000E, ExacqVision, Andover Continuum, Pelco Control Point, Compass, DMP, D3, JIRA, PassagePoint, Constellation Alert, and Microsoft Office Suite.

SOC Operator Preferred Knowledge

• Knowledge of Constellation business structure and CSOC Policies and Procedures.
• Familiarity with NERC CIP requirements, substation operations, and CISS policies and procedures.
• Experience with physical security, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, incident response, and security operations center environments.

The SOC Operator plays a critical role in maintaining 24/7 situational awareness and supporting the protection of Constellation facilities and personnel.
