Job summary

Crescent Energy is seeking an Associate to support the cybersecurity program across monitoring, triage, and security operations. You will help identify threats, coordinate responses, and ensure security processes run consistently across enterprise systems.

You will contribute to improving cyber resilience, awareness, and reporting while collaborating with infrastructure, applications, and business teams. This role emphasizes hands-on monitoring, incident response, and service request management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, SC-900 or other entry-level cybersecurity certs are a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, security operations, or related roles preferred.
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, or SIEM platforms is preferred.
• Experience with ticketing systems and operational dashboards is a plus.
• Upstream oil and gas experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and validate potential threats.
• Assist incident triage, investigation and response in coordination with security teams.
• Manage cybersecurity service requests and coordinate with IT teams.
• Support logging, SIEM integration, and security operations processes.
• Track vulnerabilities and remediation progress for leadership reporting.
• Assist security awareness and training efforts across the organization.
• Generate security metrics and dashboards for leadership visibility.
