Job summary

Crescent Energy in Houston seeks a Cybersecurity Associate to support the day-to-day operations of the cybersecurity program. This role helps monitor, triage, report, and respond to security events across enterprise systems and platforms.

The candidate will contribute to security monitoring, incident triage, vulnerability tracking, SIEM coordination, and awareness activities while collaborating with infrastructure, applications, and business teams to strengthen cyber resilience and protect

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT or related field preferred; equivalent practical experience ok.
• 1–3 years in cybersecurity, security operations, or IT support preferred; familiarity with monitoring and incident response.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+ are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and validate potential threats across approved tools.
• Assist incident triage, investigation, and response with internal and external partners.
• Manage cybersecurity service requests, provisioning access and policy changes.
• Support logging, SIEM data flow, and visibility across systems.
• Track vulnerabilities and remediation progress; report to leadership.
• Deliver security awareness content and training support.
• Generate security metrics and dashboards for leadership reporting.
