Allied Universal–the leading security and facilities services company–is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Sylvania, OH. The role emphasizes patient and staff safety, customer service, and a visible security presence in a healthcare setting.

You will work a day schedule with the flexibility to claim additional shifts using our platform. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of security experience, and background/drug checks as mandated by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual occurrences accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
