Job summary

Allied Universal in Clarksburg, WV is hiring a Security Officer Patrol to safeguard government facilities and visitors. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service while reporting incidents in a timely manner.

Minimum 6 months security experience required; high school diploma or equivalent; pay rate $14.00 per hour; full-time schedule Monday through Friday with daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorised activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
