Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Support in Ashburn, VA to serve students, staff, and visitors at a government education location. You will conduct patrols, monitor access, and help maintain a safe, welcoming campus environment.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience, comfort with computers or tablets, and a high school diploma. Licensing and background checks are required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other members of the school community while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, providing directions and assisting with campus traffic flow while reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately; communicate relevant information to site leadership, law enforcement, and Allied Universal management as directed.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Support in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
