Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol in China, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an unarmed patrol officer in a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing excellent customer service, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors. This position requires driving as part of your daily responsibilities. Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
Help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and attentive patrols.
Document and report any unusual activity or incidents according to site protocols.
Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with AU driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
