Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Services in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. You will communicate professionally with shoppers and staff, document observations using a computer or tablet, and contribute to a caring culture built on teamwork, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $14.25 / Hour

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
