Qualifications

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Overnight in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping create a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

• Tue 08:30 PM - 04:30 AM
• Wed 08:30 PM - 04:30 AM
• Thur 08:30 PM - 04:30 AM
• Fri 08:30 PM - 04:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately through required reports, logs, and communication tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
