Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Service in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail and common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
