Job summary

Allied Universal in Johnson City, TN is seeking a part-time Security Guard Unarmed Patrol to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites, delivering friendly customer service while maintaining a visible security presence. You will conduct regular patrols, control access points, respond calmly to incidents, and document observations.

Minimum requirements include 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, background check, drug screen, and a valid driver’s license for driving

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
• Monitor access points, report suspicious activity or property concerns, and help to deter unauthorized activity through a professional presence.
• Communicate with property management, law enforcement, emergency personnel, and Allied Universal leadership as needed regarding security-related incidents and site conditions.
