Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for a Memphis, TN retail location. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide a welcoming customer experience while documenting observations with a computer or tablet.

The role is full time with daytime to evening shifts. Candidates should have customer service experience, be comfortable with tech, and meet minimum age and licensing requirements as described.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to location procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.
