Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer in Ohio to provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel, while conducting patrols and monitoring access to deter unauthorized activity.

You will respond to incidents, prepare reports, and maintain logs following site procedures. Minimums include 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transportation facility grounds, building exteriors, access points, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, driver, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
