Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a full-time security professional at a utilities location in Texas. The role pays $14.00 per hour and requires a valid driver’s license.

Shifts run 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with patrols, access control, incident response, and documentation of activities as core duties. Minimum requirements include a HS diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorization for entry, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
