Job summary

Allied Universal in Lima, OH is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial environments. You will monitor and patrol to deter incidents, maintain a visible presence, verify credentials, and respond to incidents according to site procedures while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as needed in an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and hazards.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site protocols while coordinating with relevant personnel and responders.
• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or other suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Complete required reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
