Qualifications

• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws; driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, report observations promptly, and document incidents and patrol activity per site requirements.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and security support during campus events and after-hours operations.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, report observations promptly, and document incidents and patrol activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and security-related support during campus events, activities, and after-hours operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
