Job summary

Allied Universal in Cary, NC is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Customer Care Patrol to protect students, staff, and visitors at an education facility. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
