Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Sylva, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with visitors and staff while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts and other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

• CPO certification is required.
• Hospital vaccination requirements apply.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
