Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate and retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Bring your communication skills and commitment to integrity to a caring, team-focused environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, exterior grounds, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions and potential concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
