Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol at our Reno, NV location. You will provide customer service, monitor entrances, perform patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence.

This full-time role requires safety-minded individuals who uphold site policies and procedures. Responsibilities include reporting activities, verifying credentials, and coordinating with site contacts to ensure a secure environment for clients and employees.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background check and drug screen will be conducted per laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Complete detailed activity reports and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
