Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Patrol for our Reno, NV location. You will provide security and customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

The role offers part-time hours with daytime shifts and a pay rate of $24.00 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories where allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/contractor entry records per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain awareness of activity and report maintenance concerns or hazards to support a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and maintain visitor and/or contractor entry records in accordance with site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
• Maintain awareness of activity throughout the location, report maintenance concerns or potential hazards, and support a professional, welcoming environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
