Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Badge and Alarm Systems in Charlotte, NC. You will patrol facilities, monitor access points and alarms, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with access control and badge systems.
• Experience with alarm panels.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of premises including interior, exterior, parking, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift communications in line with site requirements.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Badge and Alarm Systems in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a secure environment through teamwork and integrity. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of financial institution premises, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access concerns or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
