Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer in Mesa, AZ, to protect clients across industries including Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor premises, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain visible security presence, while following site policies and reporting procedures.

This full-time position requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background/drug check as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and communications-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Help support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
