Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Facility Patrol Guard in Tempe, AZ to safeguard clients across industries, including financial institutions. Responsibilities include unarmed patrols, monitoring access points, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will work a Daytime schedule with shift times listed, and participate in incident response, logs, and reporting while complying with site procedures. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check will be conducted as per law.
• Drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures; document and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and promptly.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
