Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Data Center Guard in Mesa, AZ to protect clients in a technology data center environment. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct patrols of interior and exterior areas, respond to alarms, and maintain accurate security records.

The role requires a valid driver’s license for driving shifts; schedule includes night shifts. High school diploma or equivalent is required; CPR/First Aid and badge access experience are preferred;

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Data Center Guard in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.


• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center campus, building interiors, exterior perimeter, loading areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.


• Support a professional, controlled environment for technology operations by following post orders, reporting maintenance or security-related concerns, and assisting with traffic and visitor flow as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.


• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Alarm panel experience is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
