Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Columbus, IN. The role involves protecting clients across industries, conducting patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

As a Full Time position, the pay rate is $15.50 per hour. The schedule includes Thur 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM, Fri 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM, Sat 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM, and Sun 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
