Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Driver in Columbus, IN to protect clients across manufacturing and industrial sites. You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide customer service while adhering to site procedures.

A valid driver’s license is required and full-time schedule with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum customer service experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Background check and drug screen as per policy.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to control entry and exit for people and vehicles.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and medical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify responders as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations and communicate them to leadership.

As a Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Driver in Columbus, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Fri: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with controlling entry and exit for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related concerns accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
