Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer - Part Time Control Center in Punta Gorda, FL. You will provide customer service to visitors and employees, monitor entrances, verify credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access records.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to government facility entrances, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate visitor and access records.
• Screen individuals and/or belongings in accordance with site procedures, report prohibited items or unauthorized access attempts, and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance, access-control, or security-related concerns.

What You'll Do
