Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor sign-in processes, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Control access to restricted areas by following established credentialing, key, badge, and vehicle-entry procedures; report access irregularities according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations promptly to appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
