As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Punta Gorda, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a professional, visible presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, law enforcement personnel, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a government law enforcement facility, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct individuals according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, public areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Report security-related incidents, suspicious activity, damaged property, and policy violations through required documentation and communication channels.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
