Allied Universal in Punta Gorda, FL is seeking a Security Officer Access Operations to safeguard clients across government locations. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service in a welcoming, controlled environment.

This full-time role pays $19.00 per hour with a 3-11 pm schedule Mon-Sun. Candidate must meet basic security requirements, pass background checks and drug screening, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Tue: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorization and control access in accordance with established post orders.
• Screen visitors, issue and collect visitor credentials as directed, maintain visitor logs, and provide clear directions to appropriate offices or services.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, public areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
