Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol in Austin, TX to provide reliable coverage with anchor shifts and the flexibility to pick up extra shifts. You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, and conduct patrols at healthcare manufacturing sites while maintaining professional conduct and excellent customer service.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to background check and drug screening as per applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following escalation/reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and report suspicious activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in offices, production spaces, warehouses, and loading docks.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Patrol in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interiors, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor records, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in areas that may include offices, production spaces, warehouses, and loading docks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
