Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in Houston, TX. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will provide security and customer service at a transportation facility, monitor access points, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain daily activity and incident reports in accordance with site requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Monitor access points, vehicle entry and exit activity, and visitor check-in procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the transportation facility, parking areas, vehicle yards, loading and unloading areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Control in HOUSTON, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 12:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
