Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and media campus by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and operational needs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Concierge in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
