Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law and policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials and report concerns.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms, documenting activities accurately.
• Maintain detailed logs and communicate observations to leadership and client representatives.

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol in Austin, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting activities accurately.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives, and support a professional environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
