Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, KS to protect clients across tech/media/telecom sites. You will monitor areas, patrol, support access control, and stay visible to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $25.06 / Hour

• Sat 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Sun 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, office areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, maintain required activity documentation, and communicate professionally with client representatives, employees and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
