As an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and support a welcoming environment while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Thur: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
