Job summary

Allied Universal in San Antonio, TX is looking for a Part-Time Security Officer for weekends and morning shifts at a shopping mall. You will provide visitor and tenant support, conduct patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

This role requires a valid driver’s license for driving positions and at least 1 year of security experience. CPR/First Aid is preferred. You’ll join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and safety.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Respond to incidents and safety concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail property, including common areas and parking.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance or safety issues to site contacts.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
