What You’ll Do

• Carry out security-related procedures and site‑specific policies while providing customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including those that may require an armed security presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business interior and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents, observations, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols or assigned duties.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and law enforcement as required while maintaining a visible and approachable presence.
• Support Allied Universal management and fellow team members by adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
